Football NSW Metro and Country squads confirmed for 2023 Boys National Youth Championships

Football NSW has confirmed the players set to represent the Metro and Country teams in the Boys National Youth Championships, to be held at Valentine Sports Park in October.

Commencing on Monday 2nd of October and concluding on Friday 6th, all teams will be looking forward to achieving positive results as well as showcasing their skills with the hope of gaining future national team selection.

Football NSW will be entering six teams in the tournament, with Metro Blue, Metro White and Country teams selected for the Under 15 and Under 16 age groups.

“Selecting the squads was an incredibly challenging task, given the abundance of exceptional talent we have in our state,” commented Philip Myall, Football NSW Player Development Manager – Boys.

“After an extensive and rigorous process, we feel with have selected some exciting and highly talented squads that will proudly represent New South Wales in this prestigious competition.

“Their hard work, determination, and exceptional skills have earned them a place in these squads.

“As the championships will be hosted at Valentine Sports Park, we invite and encourage as many people as possible to come down and show their support for the teams.

“Let’s create a spirited atmosphere and cheer on our NSW squads, showcasing the true spirit of football in our state!”

The selection process for teams spanned multiple months and events including Talent Support Program (TSP) matches, regional game days and tournaments.
