Football NSW celebrates Futsal Gala Dinner

It was Futsal’s night of nights as hundreds of proud and passionate club members, players and supporters enjoyed a memorable Futsal Gala Dinner at Le Montage on Friday 2nd of February to celebrate an unforgettable Futsal Premier League, Futsal Premier League 2 and NOVA Employment AWD 2023 season.

Senior and Youth players in smart outfits and beautiful dresses mingled with Football NSW officials as the state Futsal community banded together to congratulate this year’s award winners.

All clubs were well represented and combined terrifically for a spirited atmosphere at the formal event, showcasing the strength of Futsal in NSW.

It was equally a massive evening for Futsal Premier League 2 outfit South Coast Taipans who incredibly picked up 15 awards in various categories including the NOVA Employment AWD competition, such was the fantastic season the club experienced in 2023.
Historically, this was one of the best club achievements ever witnessed in Football NSW history, further cementing their ascendency in the sport of Futsal.

Individually, it was a massive year for Mountain Majik’s Clare Holder, Mascot Vipers’ Ethan De Melo, South Coast Taipans’ Bronte Pyke, Matthew Mazevski and Rocco Musumeci who each picked up Player of the Year accolades in their respective senior leagues.

Football NSW also celebrated the referees as Jonathon Moore and rising young official Jackson Mackie were acknowledged for their services to the game.

It was a big year for Futsal on a national level as Football NSW finished the 2024 National Futsal Championships held at the Gold Coast in style, winning the Open Men and Open Women Grand Finals to secure the Member Federation Championship.

In addition to the overall six titles secured across various age groups, Football NSW also had the most teams (11) in action on Grand Final day.
