Football NSW League Two Men’s 2026 Season Preview
After a season full of firsts in 2025, the 2026 Football NSW League Two Men’s competition shapes as one of the most open and unpredictable in recent memory.
With multiple sides eyeing premiership honours and promotion, and significant player movement across the off-season, the campaign promises plenty of intrigue.
Two familiar names return to the competition following relegation from League One Men’s. Mounties Wanderers FC re-join the division after a single season away, while Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC will look to respond following their promotion/relegation play-off defeat to Prospect United SC.
With fresh expectations, new coaching appointments and reshaped squads across the board, here is how each club shapes up ahead of the 2026 season.
Bankstown United FC
2025 Finish: 5th
Bankstown United enter 2026 determined to return to the upper reaches of the table after slipping from third in 2024 to fifth last season. A club with ambitions of climbing the Football NSW pyramid, United will be aiming to translate off-season changes into tangible improvement.
Several departures have reshaped the squad, including second-leading goalscorer Marie Gauthier, Anthony Prior, Isaac Schipp and goalkeeper Sebastian La Luz. In response, the club has strengthened key areas, adding Alistair McKee and former Mounties Wanderers midfielder Mitchell Gibbs.
Defensively, Bankstown have made a statement by recruiting former St George FC NPL defender Hassan Kamberovic, expected to marshal the backline. He is joined by 20-year-old Noah Albert, formerly of St George City FA, who will look to establish himself at the heart of defence.
With 2025 top scorer Mitchell Cross returning and a renewed focus on attacking output after scoring just 52 goals last season (down from 76 in 2024), United will be eager to rediscover their cutting edge. Under new head coach Michael Outerinho, Bankstown are expected to push strongly toward the top end of the table.
Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC
2025 Finish: 15th (Relegated – League One Men’s)
Bonnyrigg White Eagles return to League Two Men’s with a clear objective: bounce straight back. Relegation followed a dramatic promotion/relegation play-off defeat to Prospect United SC, but the Eagles have wasted little time reshaping ahead of 2026.
Key signings include 19-year-old midfielder Tung Dang (formerly of Sydney FC youth and NWS Spirit), goalkeeper Matthew Massarotto, defenders Dane Vrankovic and Vlado Suput, and attacking options Asmir Kadric and Lorenzo Bilotta.
Continuity remains through captain Sam Gallaway, entering his tenth season at the club, alongside retained players Nikola Krljar and Daniel Bittar. Head coach Ratko Lovric returns to the club after six years working within the junior program, bringing a strong understanding of Bonnyrigg’s identity.
After conceding 58 goals and scoring just 38 last season, the Eagles will be focused on improving at both ends of the pitch as they aim to re-establish themselves in the promotion race.
Camden Tigers FC
2025 Finish: 14th
Camden Tigers will look to build on a late-season resurgence in 2025, where three wins from their final five matches offered optimism despite a 14th-place finish.
The Tigers farewell former captain Jack Harris and goalkeeper Michael O’Rourke but have reinforced their midfield with Jason Perez (Bonnyrigg White Eagles) and Leandro Carle (Bulls FC Academy). Further additions include Ramiro Soto (Sydney FC youth), Julian Bittar (Hurstville Zagreb) and David Dileo (SD Raiders).
Former NPL coach Justin Mickan takes charge for 2026, bringing local knowledge and a clear vision centred on defensive solidity and consistency. After conceding 62 goals last season, Camden’s primary focus will be tightening up at the back while improving on their 40 goals scored.
A top-half finish is the target as the Tigers enter the season with renewed belief and leadership.
Central Coast United FC
2025 Finish: 15th
Central Coast United embark on a new chapter after a difficult 2025 campaign, retaining head coach Shannon Cole despite finishing last.
Several departures have made way for marquee signing Matt Hatch, a former A-League Men’s player with Central Coast Mariners and Perth Glory. The midfielder brings significant experience, including holding the record for the fastest A-League Men’s debut goal.
Further additions include attacking midfielder Nathan Drake from the U.S. college system and local product Jay Swadling. Club stalwart Cade Mapu will captain the side.
After scoring the fewest goals and conceding 58 last season, the Pirates will aim to show tangible improvement across both boxes as they look to climb the ladder in 2026.
Dunbar Rovers FC
2025 Finish: 7th
Dunbar Rovers enter the new season buoyed by a strong finish to 2025 and the retention of nearly 90% of their squad.
Top scorers Paul Gautier and marquee forward Guilherme Mazurkievicz Pansonato return to lead the line, supported by a growing crop of youth promoted through the club’s pathway. Leadership remains strong through Gianni Costantino, Dylan Bozicevic and Bastian Monroy.
With just 41 goals conceded last season, Dunbar pride themselves on defensive resilience and will look to improve their attacking output after scoring only 42 goals in 2025.
Fraser Park FC
2025 Finish: 9th
Fraser Park continue their upward trajectory after improving from 13th to ninth last season. A strong attacking finish to 2025 has set expectations for further progress.
Signings include midfielder Mason Fernandez (Sutherland Sharks), George Grillakis (Macarthur Rams), defender Matteo Guerra (Hurstville Zagreb), striker Reuben Awaritefe (Blacktown City) and experienced goalkeeper Nathanael Cavaliere.
After conceding a league-high 68 goals last season, defensive improvement is a priority as Fraser Park look to turn entertaining performances into consistent results.
Gladesville Ryde Magic
2025 Finish: 13th
Gladesville Ryde Magic continue to back youth development, with several players now entering their third and fourth seasons in first grade.
Scoring just 33 goals last season, attacking productivity remains an area of focus, while a long-term injury to their first-choice goalkeeper presents an early challenge.
The Magic’s objective remains clear: build through youth, compete with intensity and represent the club with pride.
Granville Rage
2025 Finish: 4th
Granville Rage were one of 2025’s standout improvers and will look to build on their fourth-place finish.
Defender Raimond Coletta (Mounties Wanderers) strengthens the backline, while Ante Tomic and Yianni Perkatis return to provide continuity. Goalkeeper Samuel Bortolazzo remains a key figure.
With 58 goals scored and 52 conceded last season, tightening defensively could see Granville push even higher in 2026.
Hawkesbury City FC
2025 Finish: 6th
Hawkesbury City come into 2026 with confidence after finishing just outside the promotion places.
Key signings include Wade Giovenali (Hills United), Lachlan Gilmore (NWS Spirit) and Zachary Butler (St George City), while several long-serving players have retired, marking a period of transition.
After scoring 68 goals last season, second-most in the league, Hawkesbury will aim to maintain their attacking threat while improving defensively.
Inner West Hawks FC
2025 Finish: 10th
Inner West Hawks seek a rebound after slipping from fourth to tenth last season.
Former captain Sidhya Malhotra returns, alongside Joshua Lazaro and Peter Dias. Defensive stability remains a strength, but improving on 37 goals scored will be key to a promotion push.
Mounties Wanderers FC
2025 Finish: 16th (Relegated – League One Men’s)
Mounties Wanderers return to League Two Men’s aiming for an immediate response.
Led by head coach Andre Schroeder, the squad blends experience and youth and is stacked with some former NPL stars with Abraham Majok, Liam Youlley, Josh Symons, Brandon Vella, Patrick Antelmi and Dany Ghetti among those expected to play key roles.
After scoring just 30 goals last season, Mounties will be focused on rediscovering their attacking confidence while building long-term stability. The club is tipped as one of the teams to watch as they look towards getting back up that promotional ladder once more.
Nepean FC
2025 Finish: 12th
Nepean FC continue to commit strongly to youth pathways after winning the Under-20s competition last season.
The squad is predominantly homegrown, with several players progressing through the club since junior football. After conceding 63 goals in 2025, defensive improvement is a clear focus as Nepean aim to climb the table.
Parramatta FC
2025 Finish: 8th
Parramatta FC enter 2026 with renewed energy following significant squad turnover.
New signings include Darragh Reynor, Justin Biega, Jethro Thornton and Omer Gebril, while 18-year-old Riley Carmody-Smith has been promoted to partner captain Travis Oughtred in defence.
With Tarek Elrich sidelined through injury, leadership will be shared as Parramatta target a higher work rate and improved consistency. Marco Sama will once again lead the line, an experienced campaigner, there will be a lot of focus on his ability to hit the back of the net in keeping the club at bay with a successful run in 2026.
South Coast Flame FC
2025 Finish: 3rd
After narrowly missing promotion last season, South Coast Flame are firmly focused on going one better in 2026.
Michael Trajkovski returns after a year away, supported by Jordan Roberts, Joel Beattie, Demin Nou and Jamie Dib. Despite losing league top scorer Jyden Harb, the Flame boast depth and attacking quality.
Having scored a league-high 78 goals last season, defensive tightening will be key as they again target the top two.
Sydney University SFC
2025 Finish: 11th
Sydney University SFC continue their rebuild under new head coach Joshua Barrett, fielding one of the youngest squads in the competition.
With 15 of the squad under 23, Uni will rely on energy, fitness and unity, supported by retained leaders Daniel Barrett, Jasper Sarkies and Joseph Roddy.
