2026 First Nations Scholarship Applications Open
Football NSW is pleased to announce the opening of scholarship applications to provide opportunities and increase the representation of First Nations participants in the game.
Developed in conjunction with the Football NSW Indigenous Advisory Group, applications are now open for player and coach scholarships.
These scholarships are aimed to:
- reduce barriers for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander players in elite pathways;
- increase player development opportunities for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander, and;
- identify and support the next generation of elite Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander players.
Player Scholarship
This scholarship is for First Nations players in the Football NSW Youth Leagues, providing a $1,500 subsidy to go towards player registration costs.
Player Scholarship Application
Coach Scholarship
This scholarship is for First Nations coaches seeking to attain a C or B Diploma, providing a subsidy to go towards the cost of a coaching course. Additional funding options are also available for regional C Diploma candidates.
The First Nations Player and Coach Scholarships are now open until Monday, March 9th.
