EOI Forms – National Fustal Championships 2027 Futsal State team coaches

Football NSW is inviting suitably qualified coaches to apply for several coaching positions in its Futsal State Team Metropolitan and Country Program for January 2027.

The Football NSW Futsal State Team program provides players with the opportunity to compete at the FA National Futsal Championships (NFC) and be exposed to both the highest level of futsal available and the expertise of FNSW/FA selectors and coaches.

FNSW will be seeking coaches EOI’s for our selection process. For coaches, this is a great opportunity to display an understanding of the Coaching Process consistent with Futsal principles. The tournament environment helps coaches improve player management and planning skills with an elite group of players.

Dates

The 2027 FA National Futsal Championships dates are yet to be announced by Football Australia. Football Queensland will be host state again up on the Gold Coast.

Key Timelines for Coaches

  1. NFC Tournament Dates – (TBC)
  2. 12th June – Closing date for applications for Coaches
  3. July – Positions will be appointed.
  4. FNSW Metro Trails – 20th Sep, 4th Oct & 11th Oct
  5. FNSW Country Trials – TBC
  6. Training schedule to follow after the final squads have been selected.
  7. Appointed Coaches will need to attend the FNSW Futsal State Coach Workshop – TBC
  8. Coaches will be required to attend trials and conduct a series of training sessions in the lead-up to the tournament
  9. Training Camp over two 3-day blocks after the new year – Block 1: 2nd-4th Jan, Block 2: 6th-8th Jan 2026

Coaching Standards/Criteria

  1. Coaches will be required to hold a minimum of a valid AFC Level 1 Futsal License or has expressed their interest/registered to attend the AFC level 1 Course.
  2. Assistant Coaches must hold the Foundation of Futsal qualification
  3. Positions available for Under 13’s, 15’s, 17’s, 19s Girls, Age Women / 12’s,13’s, 14’s, 15’s, 16’s, 19’s Boys, All age Men
  4. Positions available for AWD.
  5. Reporting and delivering on tasks set by both the FNSW Futsal Technical Director & Futsal Manager
  6. Portray the values and behaviors align with FNSW and the NFC Futsal state team program
  7. Demonstrated good communication, organisation and leadership skills
  8. Previous experience in coaching within elite football & futsal player development programs
  9. Coaches must obtain a current Working with Children’s number (Employee)  – Successful applicants will be working with children under the age of 18. You will be required to undertake a Working with Children Check (Employee) as this is a paid position. If you do not already have a number or need to upgrade your number from volunteer status, you can apply online via the Office of the Children’s Guardian website.
