Blacktown City and APIA Leichhardt to battle it out for Waratah Cup Final spot
In what will be a blockbuster affair between two huge National Premier League Men’s NSW clubs, Blacktown City will host APIA Leichhardt at Landen Stadium next Wednesday for a spot at this year’s 2024 Waratah Cup Final with the winner set to face Rockdale Ilinden.
Ilinden took care of business in style defeating fellow NPL Men’s NSW outfit NWS Spirit FC on Wednesday with the league leaders securing its first ever Waratah Cup Final spot.
Both Blacktown City and APIA Leichhardt have been long term admirers of the Waratah Cup each having taken it out on five occasions.
They’ve also been tough to separate in 2024 with both teams securing victories against each other, City defeating APIA in Round 1 6-3 while APIA got their revenge in Round 16 coming out 3-1 victors.
Football NSW will announce the date, venue and time of the Waratah Cup Final in due course.
The match will be streamed live and exclusive on Football NSW’s official YouTube Channel with Alex Molchanoff calling the match.
