Round 24 in the Football NSW League One Women’s competition could be a historic weekend, with the destination of the Premiership potentially being decided.

There are six games to enjoy across the weekend, including a finals eliminator and a huge Match of the Round clash between SD Raiders FC and Central Coast Mariners FC.

Match of the Round: SD Raiders FC vs Central Coast Mariners FC

Saturday 8 August, 3pm – Ernie Smith Reserve

League leaders SD Raiders FC host Central Coast Mariners FC at Ernie Smith Reserve on Saturday afternoon in a potentially historic fixture.

The hosts moved one step closer to securing the Premiership after producing a dominant 3-0 victory over Sutherland Strikers FC last weekend.

Aoife Horgan was the star of the show, scoring twice in the comfortable win and continuing what has been an excellent 2026 campaign since joining the club.

SD Raiders FC will secure the League One Women’s Premiership with the right results on Saturday, and coach Samir Al-Seblani will have his side fully prepared from the opening whistle as they look to make history.

Central Coast Mariners FC enter the contest after producing a remarkable comeback to earn a 3-3 draw against Blacktown Spartans FC at Pluim Park.

Isabella Nicolussi made an immediate impact after coming off the bench, providing coach Cas Wright with another attacking option when searching for a late goal.

The Mariners travel down the highway looking to spoil the Premiership celebrations, with Matilda Gallagher expected to play a key role in their challenge.

This match will be streamed LIVE on the Football NSW YouTube channel and could be a historic afternoon with silverware potentially being lifted.

South Coast Flame FC vs Bankstown City Lions FC

Saturday 8 August, 7:15pm – Sir Ian McLennan Park

South Coast Flame FC host Bankstown City Lions FC at Sir Ian McLennan Park on Saturday night.

The Flame enter the contest full of confidence after a convincing 4-1 victory over Nepean FC at Jamison Park Field #1 last weekend.

Shaylee Meehan was outstanding in the win, scoring a hat-trick and putting herself in excellent form heading into the finals push.

Alongside Meehan, Abbey Crapp has started the last two matches for South Coast and made a strong impact, scoring the other goal in last weekend’s victory.

Bankstown City Lions FC return from their Round 23 bye and will be looking to finish the season strongly.

Corinna Medaglia found the back of the net in their previous match against Marconi Stallions FC and will be eager to add to her tally.

Facing a Flame side full of confidence, Bankstown will need a strong defensive performance from goalkeeper Natalie Milenkovski if they are to cause an upset.

Blacktown City FC vs Inter Lions FC

Sunday 9 August, 5pm – Landen Stadium

Blacktown City FC welcome Inter Lions FC to Landen Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts will be looking to bounce back after a 2-0 defeat against Camden Tigers FC last weekend.

Jaime Clarke has been a consistent performer for Blacktown City throughout the campaign and will once again be a key figure in midfield.

Up front, Ava Luburic has made an immediate impact since joining the club and will be searching for another goal-scoring contribution.

Inter Lions FC are also looking for a response after suffering a 3-0 defeat against St George FC at Majors Bay Reserve.

The Lions will be boosted by the return of midfield playmaker Zoe Katsionis following her suspension.

Coach John Di Biase will be hoping his side can finish the season strongly during the final month of the campaign.

Nepean FC vs St George FC

Sunday 9 August, 5pm – Jamison Park Field #1

Nepean FC face St George FC at Jamison Park Field #1 on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts enter the contest after a 4-1 defeat against a rampant South Coast Flame FC side last weekend.

Eden Smith was the lone scorer for Nepean and has been a constant threat down the flanks throughout the season.

Sarah Polinsky has returned to the starting lineup over the past fortnight, providing some much-needed experience and strength in midfield.

St George FC returned to the winners’ circle last weekend with a convincing 3-0 victory over Inter Lions FC.

Kyla Vanderlaan was rewarded with a goal after leading the line strongly throughout a challenging 2026 season.

Sarah Urquhart has also brought valuable experience since joining the Saints and will be looking to deliver another strong performance.

Newcastle Jets FC vs Camden Tigers FC

Sunday 9 August, 5pm – Hunter City Motor Group Stadium

Newcastle Jets FC host Camden Tigers FC at Hunter City Motor Group Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Jets enter the contest after a thrilling 4-3 victory over Marconi Stallions FC in last weekend’s Match of the Round.

Sunny Alston has enjoyed an excellent run of starts recently and continues to provide energy and attacking threat for the Hunter-based side.

After overcoming their mid-season struggles, Newcastle now appear ready for a strong finals push, with three points at home crucial.

Camden Tigers FC arrive after a 2-0 victory over Blacktown City FC at Ron Dine Reserve.

Goalkeeper Samantha Fulwood was instrumental in keeping a clean sheet and will be required to produce another strong performance against a dangerous Jets attack.

Going forward, Eliza Pereira and Charlotte Taylor will be looking to capitalise on any opportunities and create an upset that could shake up the finals race.

Blacktown Spartans FC vs Sutherland Strikers FC

Sunday 9 August, 7pm – Blacktown Football Park

Blacktown Spartans FC host Sutherland Strikers FC at Blacktown Football Park on Sunday night in a crucial finals battle.

The Spartans enter the contest after a dramatic 3-3 draw against Central Coast Mariners FC at Pluim Park.

Rita Boateng and Gemma Woolley were both on the scoresheet in the comeback draw and will be looking to lead the Spartans’ push towards finals football.

Defensively, Maja Prostan has enjoyed a strong season since joining from Northern Tigers and will be important in containing the Strikers attack.

Sutherland Strikers FC suffered a setback last weekend, falling 3-0 to league leaders SD Raiders FC.

Paola Andrea Giraldo Uribe has been in excellent form and will be looking to find the back of the net again as the Strikers fight to keep their finals hopes alive.

This match is effectively a finals eliminator, with Sutherland needing three points to remain in contention heading into the final stages of the season.
