Know A Grassroots Hero? Nominate Them For Community Sports Dad Of The Year

Every football club has one.

The dad or father figure who is always there. Coaching a team, managing players, marking fields, running fundraisers, driving kids to training and games, or quietly taking care of the countless jobs that keep community sport moving.

Now is the chance to recognise them.

Nominations are open for Australia’s Community Sports Dad of the Year, proudly supported by Philips Water, celebrating the dads and father figures who go above and beyond to help grassroots sport thrive.

The national award recognises the invaluable contribution these community heroes make, while also giving back to the sporting clubs they support.

There is plenty up for grabs, with the winning sporting club receiving a $5,000 Rebel Sport voucher to put towards new sporting equipment or apparel.

The winning dad will receive a Philips Reverse Osmosis Water Station, while the person who submits the winning nomination will take home a Philips Multigroom 7000 grooming kit.

Adding to this year’s campaign is former Socceroos goalkeeper Andrew Redmayne, who has been named the Community Sports Dad of the Year Ambassador.

Whether they have spent years volunteering at the club or are simply the person who is always there when something needs to be done, this is an opportunity to shine a light on the dads and father figures who make a genuine difference to their local sporting communities.
