North West Sydney Koalas to pull on their socks in support of the McGrath Foundation

The North West Sydney Koalas will again be supporting the McGrath Foundation with a special fundraiser at our home Game against Northern Tigers on Sunday 26th May 2013 at ELS Hall Field Kent Road North Ryde.
All players will support the cause by purchasing Pink Socks to for Sunday’s games and we will be encouraging supporters to show their support by wearing pink on the day rather than Black and Yellow.
The day will kick off at 9am with the under 12’s, with a full programme (14’s,16’s and reserve grade) including our first grade kicking off at 3pm.
The Koalas development squad will also field teams in a Koalas versus Koalas game after the first grade game with our talented youngsters playing a small sided game in pink socks.
We will be selling Pink Caps and Socks on the day and have also received a donation of Dr Lewinn’s famous hand and nail cream essentials that we will be selling on the day for $10.00 a pack.
All funds raised through the sale of Pink merchandise as well as collections from our spectators throughout the day will be donated to the McGrath Foundation which will help place McGrath breast care nurses in communities right across Australia and increase breast awareness in young women.
This is the second year that the Koalas have thrown support behind the McGrath Foundation after it was suggested by McGrath Foundation Ambassador and Koalas Team member Ellyse Perry.
We hope to spread the word throughout both the football and broader community and grow this initiative in future years.
