Brosque wary of red-hot Sydney United

during the Hyundai A-League 2008 Finals Series Launch at the Fringe Bar on January 21, 2008 in Sydney, Australia.

The sky blue remain undefeated in their pre-season campaign, but are sure to be put to the test at Sydney United Sports Centre on Tuesday.
The NSW Premier League frontrunners will be boosted by the return of player/coach Ante Milicic, the man behind a resurgent United outfit this season.
”The guys here are saying since Teza (Milicic) has taken over, the boys have responded well to him,” Brosque said.
”He’s been away with the Young Socceroos and they dropped points so we know how important to them he is.”
After an impressive start to the season, United’s form has been far from desirable in recent weeks but that will count to nothing for the men in blue.
”They have some good players and are in good form at the top of the table,” Brosque said.
”Our goal is always to win but it is also important to get those combinations happening.”
With new coach Vitezslav Lavicka on board, the Sydney FC players will be looking to impress their Czech mentor before the start of the A-League season in August.
”Before the coach came in, the young guys stuck together and the older guys did too,” Brosque said.
”But now the coach has got everyone gelled together very quickly.”
Despite being months away from season kick-off, Sydney FC’s sights are set firmly on a top two finish.
”We have a new coach with new ideas,” Brosque said.
”It would be stupid of us setting anything other than a top two position.”
