The Youth League Report (Division One Youth League) Round 22 Review
It is a credit to the competitive nature of the various age groups that there was still so much at stake on this last day of competition for the season.
Congratulations go to the teams that have won the Premiership and to those that have qualified for the finals series as well as to the teams that have made the competitions strong and competitive throughout the season.
As usual, The Youth League Report will continue through the finals to keep you up-to-date with the matches and the results and then, in the week after the Grand Finals, I will provide a season review which will look at the performance of every team and club.
Club Championship
Sydney University claimed the Club Champions title when they took all fifteen points from their matches against twelfth placed Hills Brumbies, repeating the first round outcome when they earned the same number of points.
Fraser Park were the runners-up following their haul of fifteen points from their encounter with eleventh placed Hakoah from whom Fraser Park had taken thirteen points last time around.
Mt Druitt Town Rangers finished the season in third place after they earned nine points from their clash with eighth placed Gladesville Ryde Magic. The clubs had shared the first round points at seven apiece.
Fourth placed Camden Tigers bagged nine points from their matches at fifth placed Rockdale City Suns from whom the Tigers had taken eleven of the first round points.
Hurstville City Minotaurs remained at sixth when they earned nine points from seventh placed St George after the clubs had split the first round points at seven each.
Ninth placed Stanmore Hawks and tenth placed Springwood took six points each from their clash after the Hawks had earned ten points last time they met the mountain men.
Grade 13
Sydney University had already claimed the Premiership and they went on with the job when they posted a 1-0 win over fourth placed Hills Brumbies. That completed the double for Uni as they were 3-1 winners in the first round.
Fraser Park are the competition runners-up following their very strong 7-0 victory over eleventh placed Hakoah who Fraser Park had beaten 2-0 the first time around.
Rockdale City Suns finished in third place thanks to their 1-0 win over eighth placed Camden Tigers. When the teams met last time the game finished in a 1-1 draw.
Springwood climbed one place to fifth thanks to a 2-1 victory over twelfth placed Stanmore Hawks who they had defeated with a 4-2 scoreline when they faced off in the first round.
Mt Druitt Town Rangers slipped back one place to sixth when they suffered a 2-1 loss to tenth placed Gladesville Ryde Magic who the Rangers had previously beaten 1-0.
Hurstville City Minotaurs are seventh following their 1-0 success over ninth placed St George. The first round result was a 1-1 draw.
Grade 14
Fraser Park are the Premiers following their 3-0 victory over ninth placed Hakoah with whom they had battled out a scoreless draw when they met in the first round.

St George are fourth after they registered a 2-0 win over Hurstville City Minotaurs who slipped back one place to seventh. The Minotaurs had won the first round match 2-1.
Stanmore Hawks are in fifth position following their 2-0 result over eleventh placed Springwood who the Hawks had beaten by the same scoreline when they met in the first round.
Sixth placed Camden Tigers were 1-0 winners over eighth placed Rockdale City Suns who the Tigers had defeated 2-0 last time.
Grade 15
Fraser Park had already claimed the Premiership and they continued their good form with a 2-0 win over tenth placed Hakoah who they had beaten 4-0 last time they met.
Hurstville City Minotaurs are in second spot after they registered a 2-0 result over eleventh placed St George who the Minotaurs had rolled with a 5-0 scoreline in their first round clash.
Rockdale City Suns are in third place even though they went down 3-1 to fourth placed Camden Tigers after their first round game had finished in a 1-1 draw.
Mt Druitt Town Rangers finished fifth thanks to their 3-0 win over Gladesville Ryde Magic who have slipped back one place to eighth. The Rangers have claimed the double as they won the first round match 2-0.

St George dropped a place to third when they suffered a 2-0 loss to fourth placed Hurstville City Minotaurs who the Saints had beaten 3-1 in the first round encounter.
Camden Tigers are fifth following their 3-1 win over ninth placed Rockdale City Suns and that completes the double for the Tigers who had won the last meeting 4-1.

Camden Tigers finished third thanks to their 1-0 win over eleventh placed Rockdale City Suns who had gone down 4-2 to the Tigers when they met in the first round.
