kes

There were a few upsets across the various tables this week and so there may be a need for some folk to go back to the drawing board over the coming weeks.
Overview
The results of the clash between traditional Youth League powerhouses Marconi Stallions and Blacktown City raised many an eyebrow as the Stallions took all twelve points from the four matches played against the injury ravaged Demons.
Sutherland Sharks enjoyed their best day of the season when they bagged all fifteen points from their home matches against Bankstown City while Manly United took nine points from their visit to Bonnyrigg White Eagles.
South Coast Wolves earned nine points when they hosted Rockdale City Suns and West Sydney Berries went home with eight points from their matches against Sydney Olympic.
Sydney United and APIA Leichhardt Tigers had to be content with an even share of the spoils as they took seven points each from their encounter.
Grade 13
Marconi Stallions began the day as the competition leaders by two points following their perfect start to the season with seven straight wins while Blacktown City were in seventh position after they had recovered from two consecutive losses to win last week. The Stallions maintained their excellent form with an impressive 4-0 result to stay at the top. The Demons went on to salvage something from the weekend when they were 3-0 winners over Project 22 who arrived at this round in eleventh place after suffering losses in their last three games. That was enough to move Blacktown up to fifth place.
After a loss two weeks ago Manly United bounced back to win last week to be placed second at kick-off time and Bonnyrigg White Eagles were placed tenth following last week?s loss. Manly went on with the job as they recorded a very strong 7-0 result this week to remain at second and leave Bonnyrigg at tenth.
West Sydney Berries started this game in third place after they had put together a run of six consecutive victories while fifth placed Sydney Olympic were coming off a last match win. The Berries took their run of success to seven matches when they were 7-0 winners and that kept them in third place while Olympic have fallen back to sixth.
Following wins in their last two outings Sutherland Sharks kicked off this game in fourth place while Bankstown City were in twelfth position after losses in their last two games. The Sharks are still placed fourth after they produced a strong 5-1 victory over the Lions who are still twelfth.
South Coast Wolves were only one point outside the top five in sixth place at the start of the day and Rockdale City Suns were thirteenth and yet to earn their first point for the season. That situation changed this week when the Suns did well to hold the Wolves to a scoreless draw for their first point but they stayed where they were on the table but the Wolves are now seventh.
Sydney United came into this match in eighth place after suffering losses in their last two games while APIA Leichhardt Tigers were one point further back at ninth and they were coming off a last game win. United returned to the winners circle with a very respectable 3-1 win to remain at eighth and that result kept the Tigers at ninth.
