All five Sydney FC stars were involved in two community training development sessions; including one with the Earlwood Wanderers FC Under 8/6s (The Blackhawks) and then the juniors of the whole Club were invited to have the opportunity to train, have autographs and be photographed with the 2012-13 squad of Sydney FC.
The Under 8/6s also hosted another team of junior footballers who formed the ?Blue Team? and played against the Sydney FC stars, including Young Socceroos, Antonis, Petratos, Sydney FC Captain, McFlynn, former Dutch 1st Division player Bosschardt and young upcoming star Chianese. The first session was hosted by Under 8/6s guest coach and former 1970s Socceroo, John Doyle.
At the half way mark of the community appearance, over 200 junior footballers lined up for autographs, team posters and Sydney FC giveaway packs in the middle of the Park in between the Grandstand and Clubhouse.
In the second session, a wonderful mosaic of colour covered Earlwood Oval where two teams of multi-aged Wanderers FC engaged in a match with the Sydney FC stars.
?A great turn-out of young footballers.
?It is a great opportunity for young developing footballers to meet their A-League heroes and learn about what it takes to make it to the top,? said Earlwood Under 8/6sTeam Coach, Theo Fotopoulos
The evening resembled a ?theatre of dreams? for a large number of amateurs mixing it with their heroes in money can?t buy experience.
