Overview
Second ranked Marconi Stallions crept a bit closer to the top rated Sutherland Sharks this week when the Stallions secured ten points from the encounter, reversing the first round outcome when the Sharks took ten points from the day.
Manly United are still in third position after they grabbed all fifteen points when the hosted tenth placed Sydney United 58. Many had earned only eight points last time the met United.
Sydney Olympic remained in fourth position following their gain of six points from the clash with fifth placed Blacktown City who would have been happy with their nine points share. When the clubs met last time Olympic snatched nine points.
Sixth placed Parramatta FC must have been pleased with the thirteen points they pocketed from their home matches against twelfth placed South Coast Wolves. Parramatta had taken a dozen points from the first round encounter.
Bonnyrigg White Eagles are still placed seventh after they bagged nine points from their visit to Blacktown Spartans who have dropped back one place to ninth. The Spartans had taken eight points from the fixture last time around.
APIA Leichhardt Tigers moved up one place to eight when they claimed thirteen points from their trip to eleventh placed Rockdale City Suns. Last time the clubs saw each other the Tigers took nine points from the day.
Grade 13
The competition leaders have established a lead of six points and they are followed by three teams locked together on points and separated only by goal difference. Then there is the battle for fifth place with three teams still in the running so there is still so very much to play for over the final weeks of the competition.
Sydney Olympic are still the competition frontrunners after they produced a very solid 4-0 victory over Blacktown City who have slipped back one place to eleventh. Olympic had also claimed the first round points when they were 3-0 winners.
Second placed Manly United came up with a 2-1 win when they faced seventh placed Sydney United 58 and that give Manly the double as they were 3-0 winners last time around.
Marconi Stallions are holding down third place following their 2-0 success over Sutherland Sharks who have dropped back one place to sixth. When these teams saw each other last time the Sharks took the points with a 3-0 result.
APIA Leichhardt Tigers are placed fourth following their 3-0 victory over twelfth placed Rockdale City Suns and that gives the Tigers the double as they were 1-0 winners in the first round clash.
Bonnyrigg White Eagles moved up one place to fifth when they accounted for tenth placed Blacktown Spartans with a 1-0 result, reversing the first round outcome when the Spartans took the points with a 1-0 scoreline of their own.
Ninth placed Parramatta FC produced a 2-1 win when they faced thirteenth placed South Coast Wolves to square the ledger as the Wolves had won 2-0 last time the teams met.
The SAP U/15 Girls remained at eighth after they defeated Sutherland Sharks 1-0 after the teams had battled out a scoreless first round draw.
Grade 14

We may still need to wait until the last day of the competition to find out who will claim the title as Premiers and which teams will be in the finals series as it is so close that anything can still happen over the next four weeks.

Sutherland Sharks held onto second spot despite their 1-0 loss to Marconi Stallions who have climbed one place to fourth. In the first round the teams fought out a 1-1 draw. However, the Sharks picked up three points on Sunday when they defeated the Skilleroos 1-0.
Third placed Parramatta FC produced a 1-0 win when they faced thirteenth placed South Coast Wolves who they had beaten 2-1 last time the teams saw each other.

Grade 15
The unbeaten competition frontrunners have a lead of nine points and then things become really interesting as the next six teams are covered by a blanket of seven points as they all seek to squeeze into the four remaining places in the play-offs.

Grade 16
The leaders have established a buffer of seven points and then there is intense interest in the remaining spots available for the finals as any of the next nine teams can still make the grade.

Grade 18
The title has already gone but there is plenty of interest in which of the next seven teams will end up in the finals series so you can be certain that they will be watching each other very closely indeed.

Twelfth placed APIA Leichhardt Tigers posted their first win for the season when they recorded a 3-0 result over tenth placed Rockdale City Suns who were 5-3 winners last time around.
