With only two matches remaining, one point can mean the difference between Club Championship or a Finals Series appearance.
For this week’s Match of the Round we get only our second look at the Wagga City Wanderers and deservedly so after they picked up their debut win last weekend against FC Gazy Lansvale.

University of NSW vs Wagga City Wanderers, 3pm Saturday 8 August, David Phillips Field (Match of the Round)
The Wagga City Wanderers will make the trip to Sydney after coming off a 5-2 victory against FC Gazy Lansvale last week.
Scott Dun picked up his seventh goal of the season and starred for the Wanderers with his hat-trick.
University of NSW on the other hand went down to the Hurstville City Miinotaurs 5-1 after they lost goalkeeper, Ivan Lloret to a red card within the first 20 minutes.
Come Saturday, they will be looking to get themselves back in the winners circle after a month of lackluster football.
They will have a short turnaround though after they played Southern Districts in a catch up match last night.

Hurstville FC vs FC Gazy Lansvale, 5pm Saturday 8 August, St George Football Stadium
Hurstville FC will host FC Gazy Lansvale after their nil-all draw to the Dunbar Rovers in the top of the table clash last week.
Hurstville FC started and ended the match with plenty of enthusiasm but they will be looking to sustain this level of energy for the whole 90 minutes.
For FC Gazy Lansvale, they will be looking to put last week’s loss against the Wagga City Wanderers behind them and finish the last two games of the season in a positive manner.
FC Gazy Lansvale are a team who have been rattled by injuries so with nothing to lose it will be a great opportunity to showcase their younger players coming through the system.

Prospect United vs Hurstville City Minotaurs, 5pm Saturday 8 August, William Lawson Park
Prospect United will be looking to squeeze their way into the top four this weekend when they take on the Hurstville City Minotaurs at home.
Prospect now find themselves only one point outside of the four and equal fifth with the Western Condors.
Prospect kept the Condors in the finals hunt when they lost to them 2-1 last week, so they will be looking to make amends for that against the Minotaurs.
The Minotaurs have made a statement to finish the season off on a high after they lodged an impressive 5-1 victory against University of NSW.
Leonardo Pinto starred with his three-goal performance and no doubt he will play a crucial role this week if they are to keep the winning streak going.

Camden Tigers vs Western Condors FC, 7pm Saturday 8 August, Ron Dine Reserve
The last Saturday match of the round will feature a must-win match for both the Camden Tigers and the Western Condors.
The Camden Tigers are fourth on the competition ladder but have both the Western Condors and Prospect United breathing down their neck on equal fifth position.
A win for the Condors will cause them to leapfrog the Tigers into fourth spot, making it hard for the Tigers to catch up with only one match remaining.
However, if the Tigers win at home, they will have a far more comfortable four point buffer with Prospect’s results determining the fate for the Condor’s finals hopes.

Dunbar Rovers vs Southern Districts SFA, 3pm Sunday 9 August, Hensley Athletics Field
Sunday will feature a cracking match of football when the Dunbar Rovers and Southern Districts slog it out with the Club Championship in mind.
Dunbar have had mixed form in the last month but still remain undefeated for the season.
They welcomed back head coach William Cullen from overseas last week which is a huge boost leading into the Finals Series.
For Southern Districts, their clinical 2-0 performance against the Camden Tigers last week has put them in good stead leading into this match.
Mitchell Mclintock continues to impress and his combination with Nathan Niski has been a core contributor to their success.
Dunbar will be aware of the threats these two possess, so both players must be shut down if hosts are to keep their undefeated run going.
