Football NSW Director Chris Gardiner has resigned from the Board following his three-year tenure at the organisation.
Chris has taken on a senior role with Community and Professional Futsal Australia (CPFA), a ‘special interest group’ that intends to become a Qualifying Member of Football Federation Australia under its new Congress model.
Chris’ passion for futsal is well known and his desire to drive forward a body that will advocate on behalf of the sport is admirable.
Football NSW would like to acknowledge the significant contribution Chris has made in his three years as a director. Chris joined the Board during a difficult period and was instrumental in uniting the Board and helping navigate the constitutional issues Football NSW faced at that time.
Since then and continually, Chris has helped drive Football NSW’s commitment to improving governance and management practices and performance with the intent that they will operate more efficiently and effectively towards delivering a better experience to participants, clubs and associations.
At all times, Chris displayed the utmost dignity and professionalism and put the interests of football, the organisation and its stakeholders above all else.
Chris’ counsel and wisdom will be missed, Football NSW would like to wish him well in his role with the CPFA and are pleased that he is not lost to football.
